How we stand behind everything we sell.
Four steps, in order, before anything is listed.
Vetted sourcing
Most of what we sell comes from established vetted suppliers. Occasionally we buy directly from a brand's own boutique, and when we do, the listing says so. We do not source from social media sellers, unverified marketplaces, or anonymous suppliers.
Independent authentication
Where a piece calls for it, we authenticate it through a trusted independent third-party service such as LegitGrails, chosen to suit the piece. Authentication is selective, not automatic — when a piece has been authenticated its listing names the service, and the certificate ships with it.
Honest condition grading
We photograph and describe wear rather than hiding it. Corner wear, patina, hardware scratches and interior marks are named in every listing and shown up close.
Our guarantee
If an item we sell is determined not to be authentic by a recognised independent authentication service, we refund the original purchaser in full.
1 · Vetted sourcing
Most of what we sell comes from established vetted suppliers. Occasionally we buy directly from a brand's own boutique, and when we do, the listing says so. We do not source from social media sellers, unverified marketplaces, or anonymous suppliers.
This is the first filter and the most important one. A supply chain that starts with an anonymous seller cannot be repaired by inspection later.
2 · Independent authentication
Where a piece calls for it, we authenticate it through a trusted independent third-party verification service, chosen to suit that particular piece — LegitGrails among the services we use. No single service is right for everything, and we do not treat any one of them as automatic.
Independent means the outcome does not rely on our own opinion, and it does not rely on the supplier's. Authentication is selective rather than automatic: when a piece has been authenticated, its listing names the service, and the certificate travels with the piece and stays with you.
3 · Honest condition grading
We photograph and describe wear rather than hiding it. Corner wear, patina, hardware scratches and interior marks are named in every listing and shown up close.
Each piece is graded against our published condition scale, and every flaw named in the grade appears in the photographs.
4 · Our guarantee
If an item we sell is determined not to be authentic by a recognised independent authentication service, we refund the original purchaser in full.
We'd rather you buy with certainty than buy quickly.
What ships with your piece
A condition report matching the listing photographs, the authentication certificate where the piece was independently authenticated, a dust bag where the piece was supplied with one, and free tracked delivery requiring a signature, covered against loss or damage in transit.

Authentication, answered plainly
How do you authenticate a piece?
Through established independent third-party verification services, chosen to suit the piece — LegitGrails among them. These services combine expert review with their own reference data, examining the stamp, hardware, stitching and lining against known examples of the same model and period. The outcome is issued as a determination tied to that specific item.
Authentication is selective rather than automatic. Where it has been carried out, the listing names the service and the certificate ships with the piece. Our authenticity guarantee covers everything we sell either way.
Is Fowlier affiliated with the brands it sells?
No. Fowlier is an independent reseller of pre-owned goods. We are not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel or any other brand. All trademarks belong to their respective owners, and we name brands only to describe what an item is.
What happens if a piece is later questioned?
Email [email protected] with the order number and the finding. If an item we sold is determined not to be authentic by a recognised independent authentication service, we refund the original purchaser in full.
Do you authenticate items I already own?
Not at this time. Our authentication process runs on inventory we source and sell ourselves.
Why don't you list more pieces at once?
Because each one has to clear sourcing, independent verification and condition grading first. We would rather publish a short, verified list than a long, uncertain one.
